Works standalone Extends Autopilot + Intune

Provision
Manager

A cloud-native platform for bare-metal OS deployment, device recovery, and automated driver orchestration — with no servers, no images to maintain, and no manual packaging.

Works standalone. Or as the foundation your Autopilot and Intune strategy requires.

Knowing I can recover a completely bricked device from the cloud changes how I think about device failures entirely.

Where It Steps In

The gap Autopilot cannot close

Autopilot needs a working OS. Intune manages devices already running Windows. Provision Manager covers everything before that.

🖥

Bare-metal device

  • New device without OS
  • Corrupted system
  • Malware recovery
  • Refurbished hardware
Autopilot cannot start

Provision Manager

  • Cloud OS deployment
  • Vendor-certified drivers
  • Secure baseline
  • Remote recovery
Handles it all
🔷

Autopilot + Intune

  • Azure AD join
  • Configuration policies
  • App deployment
  • Ongoing management

Key Capabilities

What you can do

A 100% cloud-native solution for bare-metal OS deployment, device recovery, and driver orchestration — no servers, no images to maintain.

Cloud OS Deployment

True bare-metal OS deployment over the cloud — no local server, no physical media, no image to maintain.

Vendor-Certified Drivers

Automatically identifies hardware model and applies the correct Dell, HP, Lenovo, or Microsoft driver pack — official packages only.

Remote Device Recovery

Failed device in Frankfurt? IT triggers a cloud re-image. The user is back at work the same day — no shipping, no days of downtime.

Zero-Infrastructure Model

Retire your legacy deployment servers. No on-prem infrastructure to maintain, patch, or secure — 100% cloud.

One Image, All Models

A single universal image works across every device model. No per-model image maintenance, ever again.

Autopilot Foundation

Autopilot needs a working OS. Provision Manager provides it — closing the gap Autopilot cannot bridge on bare metal or bricked devices.

Driver Lifecycle Management

Automated driver orchestration across production devices — keeping manufacturer-approved driver versions current after deployment.

Audit-Ready Logging

Full logging of every deployment — OS version, driver state, timestamp, device — exportable for compliance and change management.

MDT vs Cloud-Native

What you leave behind

Moving from MDT to Provision Manager isn't an upgrade — it's a different category entirely.

Legacy (MDT / On-premise)
Local deployment servers — constant maintenance
Manual OS image per hardware model
Hours researching and packaging drivers
Failed devices physically returned to IT
3–5 days downtime for remote device failures
Provision Manager (Cloud-native)
No servers — 100% cloud, zero infrastructure
One universal image for all device models
Automatic vendor-certified driver matching
Remote recovery triggered from cloud — no shipping
Device back in action within hours
Remote Recovery

Device fails in Frankfurt.
Back online within hours.

No shipping. No days of downtime. IT triggers a cloud re-image — the user is back at work the same day.

Legacy 3–5 days downtime Ship device + full reinstall
Provision Manager < 2 hours Cloud re-image, no shipping
Device fails Frankfurt · Remote worker
IT triggers cloud re-image Provision Manager · EU-hosted
User back online Same day · No shipping
Security & Compliance

A clean, verifiable foundation for every device

Every endpoint starts from a known-good state — with official drivers and a clean OS image you can prove in an audit.

Autopilot & Intune

Two ways to deploy — your choice

Use Provision Manager as a complete standalone platform, or as the bare-metal foundation your Microsoft stack requires.

See It in Action

Standalone

Provision Manager + Application Manager deliver a fully managed endpoint — no Intune required. Deploy OS, install certified drivers, push applications from one cloud platform.

  • No Microsoft dependency
  • Full endpoint control from day one
  • Deploy OS + apps from one platform

With Intune + Autopilot

Provides the bare-metal OS foundation Autopilot requires. Extend Intune with continuous driver management for improved fleet stability and security.

  • Bare-metal → Autopilot enrollment
  • Continuous driver lifecycle management
  • True zero-touch from boot to daily use
Typical Rollout Pattern

From decision to production in four steps

Most teams configure their first template and run their first deployment the same day.

01

Configure Templates

Set up OS settings, regional preferences, and driver policies directly in the platform. Most teams finish this on day one.

02

Connect Your Layer

Integrate with Intune for seamless handoff — or run Provision Manager standalone without Intune.

03

Pilot on Selected Devices

Validate the workflow on a limited number of endpoints before rolling out broadly.

04

Operationalise

Use Provision Manager for all new deployments, remote onboarding, and cloud-based device recovery going forward.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What about managing OS images?

You don't need to. The latest images are provided directly in the platform — saving you the significant time and effort of building and maintaining them yourself.

How does the driver matching work?

The platform automatically identifies the hardware model and applies the correct, vendor-certified driver pack — eliminating manual driver management and guesswork.

Does this require Microsoft Intune?

No. Provision Manager is a complete standalone platform. Combined with Application Manager, you can deploy the OS, install certified drivers, and push all applications without Intune. For Intune users, Provision Manager adds the bare-metal layer Intune cannot provide.

Why do I need this alongside Autopilot and Intune?

Microsoft Autopilot configures devices that are already running Windows. CapaOne Provision Manager provides the bare-metal OS foundation for new or broken devices — and complements Intune with automated driver management to improve fleet stability.

Does Provision Manager replace Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)?

Yes. Provision Manager closes the gap MDT leaves behind — bare-metal OS deployment, device recovery, driver orchestration — without the on-premise infrastructure that made MDT complex to maintain and ultimately hard to secure.

How quickly can we be up and running?

It takes less than one hour to configure your first deployment template and boot your first endpoint from bare metal.

How secure is the platform?

Security is foundational. Only clean OS images and official, vendor-certified driver packages are provided to prevent tampering. The platform is built on secure, modern cloud architecture — hosted in Europe.

Ready to get started?

Consolidate your endpoint provisioning operations with CapaOne — standalone or with Intune and Autopilot.
